Points of Leadership is all about equipping leaders in maximizing their leadership for the people they lead.

Part two of our school leadership series continues. We will examine middle school grades. Middle school leadership is a complex and increasingly important school leadership mantle that research indicates is critical to school improvement, student learning and teacher development (Sage Publications, 2023). Middle school leadership is a bridge from elementary school to high school. Needless to say, middle school leadership requires selfless service to students, parents, and teachers.

An impactful and veteran educator who loves to develop teachers, Ms. Petry was studying for ministry in her graduate program when she received the clearance and direction into education. Years later, she is leading a middle school team and ensuring learning for both students and teachers at one of the nation's cutting edge public school entities that provide access to quality education for families.

In this episode, Dr. Feyi Obamehinti, and Ms. Petry discuss some key leadership principles gathered through her selfless service in education for emerging leaders.
