Week #4 Book Updates

Howdy Friends!

Wow! I am so grateful for your support. Keeping up with the weekly emails of people I have never met and texts from those I know, have been a blessing in so many ways. Many of you share how God is speaking to you and unearthing “stuff” in your lives as you are reading Crushed to Restored: Principles of Restoration from the Book of Nehemiah. The “unearthing” is part of getting to the root causes of whatever your circumstance of crushing maybe in your restoration journey. It is necessary to address these root causes with honesty and transparency with God, yourself and others. Freedom, healing and wholeness awaits you on the other side of what seems right now like “reliving” some of the past hurts and pain. I applaud each of you for your courage to begin your restoration journeys. I am honored to partner and serve you in this capacity. Be assured of my earnest prayer for your restoration.  I already see you free, healed and whole because Jesus Christ guarantees your healing and God your Creator specializes in giving beauty for ashes (Isaiah 61:3). So, my friend, trust the workings of the Holy Spirit as you journey through the book.
 
I received permission from three dear readers who are currently on their restoration journeys to share with you their testimonies of what God is doing in them as they read the book.
 
1. Dear Dr. Feyi, my dad bought me your book Crushed to Restored because our family lost our mom suddenly last December. It has been a shocking experience that I did not know I was developing anger towards God until I started reading your book. It has been a very difficult time for our family. 2.Good afternoon Feyi. I am working on 9. Beware the angel of light from Nehemiah 6 in your study. I have really been hit by your statement of, “the level of your purpose is typically tied to the level of attack you encounter; hence, your level of attack should be a tell-tale sign of your purpose”. Also, that while on our restoration journey, we do not get breaks from the enemy’s attacks because he doesn’t want to give up territory. Wow! So powerful. This is speaking to me so much about why I have been chronically ill for so long and why my son has suffered so much the past few years. 3. My Dear Friend, I am so grateful to God for you! God has used you and your husband in so many ways for our family. But. This. New. Book of yours is slicing my soul! Things I have stuffed in me for years, God is unearthing them as I read your book! How did you know to include reflection as people read the book? That my friend is the icing on this cake that sometimes is not tasting so well because I am having to look inside of me and not all the people I thought had did me wrong. For all my auditory learner friends, you will be excited to know an audiobook version of the book is in the works.I am working with two amazing experts (one an acclaimed producer/engineer in the entertainment industry and the other an award winning author of several Christian books). The audiobook should be out by summer. Stay tuned for release date.

My incredible husband interviewed me, Dr. Ruth Goodwin of Safe Harbor Counseling Center about trauma from the book and an expert counselor in trauma care Mrs. Simpson of Safe Harbor Counseling. These are broadcasts you do not want to miss as you journey through your restoration.
