Summer Updates

Howdy Friends!
It has been a while since my last post in March! Thank you for all the birthday wishes, blessings and prayers. I am grateful to God for this new year. I appreciate the blessing each of you are. I am still celebrating till the end of the month😃

Thank you also for all the congratulatory messages on my appointment by the Governor as Chair of the Texas Diabetes Council. Honored to serve Texans with fellow Council members as we address issues affecting people with diabetes in Texas. Many of you inquired about the Council meetings. Congratulations to the class of 2021! Whether graduating from high school, undergraduate or graduate school- congrats on your achievement! Staying the course and graduating in the midst of a worldwide pandemic is commendable. It takes great focus and commitment on your part. I want to give a special shoutout to our daughter who graduated medical school, and got matched for residency amidst the pandemic.  We are all so proud of you and cheering you on in this new season of life! 

 EPIC 2021 For Educators: Registrations are now open for the first ever global Education Perfect International Conference (EPIC)  2021) on June 16, 2021.  The conference is organized by Education Perfect, an Australian global teaching and learning organization for educators. In recognition of the challenges the international education community has faced with the pandemic, Education Perfect is ensuring equitable access for all educators by making the conference free for educators no matter what continent you are on. Excited we get to learn together at the conference. I am thrilled to serve educators as we examine the values and concepts that are critical for innovation from disruption such as what we experienced with the 2020 pandemic. With fantastic speakers from around the world, there is something for every educator with a broad range of international education topics such as wellbeing, teaching and learning, school culture and leadership. Update on upcoming book: With the look of things from editing, the completion of the Companion Manual to Restoration Principles has been moved to late summer or early fall of 2021. The manual will break down the scriptural principles from the Book of Nehemiah in an easy format and approach that anyone can use in their healing and restoration journey. Please be on the lookout for it.  Appreciate all the collaborations for the book.
